Future Primary Schools – Kokkedal School

Fredensborg Municipality is investing massively in the school district in these years with several planned projects for the municipality’s primary schools. The goal is that within a 12 year period, the municipality’s schools will be equipped with modernised and updated facilities and interior. Moreover, in order to provide the best possible basis for learning. This improves students’ opportunities in the future of the labor market, education and life in general. The realisation of the program for Future Primary Schools has started in Kokkedal at Kokkedal school, which should have a general boost to a better school environment. They need room for creativity in the learning processes. The project began back in 2018 with a idea – and programming phase and is continued with, among other things, a contraction with Gymnastikkens Hus.

Responsibility:

As a building consultant, Autens has acted as project manager for the development of building programs in collaboration with Henning Larsen Arkitekter. In addition, Autens has acted as the principal responsible in connection with bidding, development and facilitation of user engagement process from autumn 2018.

Th building program is a summary and further processing of input from management and staff, students and other users. Between November 2018 and February 2019, a number of workshops were held with the user group. Including the main project’s goals and set of values. The process has focused on the school’s DNA and dreams for the practice of the future with a visionary outlook, users’ nees, desires and collaboration opportunities internally as well as with external users of the school.
